To protect plants from dangerous fungal diseases you can rely on a very effective solution.

Dust in the garden

With the return of the beautiful days, the desire to enrich one’s home and also the garden with splendid plants , capable of giving brightness and color to the various environments, increases. Furthermore, cultivating plants also means being able to enjoy their fruits: think for example of tomato plants, but also cucumbers, courgettes, aubergines and much more. However, as anyone familiar with the subject knows well, plants must always be cared for with great attention to make them grow healthy and strong. Unfortunately, plant diseases are always around the corner, but fortunately there are effective solutions that allow us to protect our green friends.

Plant diseases, how to avoid with this remedy: just a few steps

The summer period, i.e. the one in which temperatures easily reach (and exceed) 30 degrees , allows plants to best defend themselves from some diseases.

Sick plant

For example, downy mildew, a rather common plant disease, does not develop at these temperatures. However, with the return of the rains the situation changes completely, as the air temperature drops and humidity takes over . These are precisely the ideal conditions for the development of fungal diseases on plants.

Downy mildew primarily affects tomato plants and grape vines, but the diseases can target all plants . What can we do to protect our plants and ensure they don’t get sick?

The best solution is to rely on some organic preparations to spray on the plants , so as to guarantee effective protection against fungal diseases.

Just to give an example, one of the products most used to protect plants is copper sulphate , excellent for protecting vines, vegetables and fruit.

Used since ancient times, copper sulfate is an excellent fungicide and bactericide. Since it is a chemical product, the advice is to spray copper sulphate on the plants when the temperatures are not very high , otherwise you run the risk that the heat will make the situation worse instead of improving it.

Therefore copper sulphate can be applied in autumn and winter. Tomato plants should be sprayed with copper sulfate about a couple of weeks before the fruit ripens.

Baking soda and milk are also excellent protections for our plants

Other elements that we can use to protect our plants from fungal diseases are baking soda and milk . During the ripening of the fruits, the use of chemical products is obviously not recommended, while bicarbonate and milk can be safely used.

Water plants

Although these are less ‘powerful’ solutions than copper sulphate, their protective effect on plants is still satisfactory . The ideal is to spray the solution characterized by bicarbonate or milk at least once a week.

The fruits, in this case, can also be harvested and eaten immediately after spraying . Within a short time we will notice how our plants will be growing strong and healthy ,  without any danger of fungal diseases.
